CAMELLIA-Theaceae
Camellias have been cultivated on the shores of Lake Maggiore for over 200 years and have become thoroughly integrated into the landscape: it is almost impossible to find an estate or a garden that doesn’t have at least a few of these beautiful bloomers.
However, winter temperatures here can often fall as low as 10° below zero and nurseries are forced to bring container-grown specimens into the greenhouse or keep them in heated tunnels during the colder season.
This makes our plants more expensive than those grown in warmer areas along the Mediterranean coast but at the same time results in much hardier plants. The superior quality of the Camellias cultivated in this area is recognized by professionals everywhere.
We can be depended on for professionalism and reliability in offering plants guaranteed to be of the highest quality nomenclature and variety.
